Santa Cruz & Taganana
RRP Price € 30.00

Fancy taking in the sights and sounds of Tenerife’s capital? This tour offers you the opportunity to visit the historic city of Santa Cruz coupled with a chance to experience the coastal rural life of Taganana, a small but beautifully formed village on the northeastern tip of the island.
In Santa Cruz, you’ll be greeted by a city of contrasts; colonial houses and squares such as Plaza de España and Plaza de la Candelaria situated close to the old city centre stand tall against stunning examples of contemporary architecture including the Auditorio de Santa Cruz, a gleamingly white, scorpion-like and aggressively modern concert hall found on the cities port side. Moving further north, you’ll encounter the beach of Las Teresitas, one of the islands’ most popular sunbathing spots and the first beach to have its signature black volcanic sand replaced with white Saharan grains.
Departing the capital, you’ll make your way through the fishing village of San Andres before winding through the Anaga mountains towards Taganana. These mountains and their corresponding plains are widely regarded as some of the most picturesque landscapes found on the island so be sure to secure a good window seat. Upon arriving in Taganana, you’ll have the time to explore this relatively unchanged village which has been barely touched by tourism - a rarity in Tenerife. You’ll have the opportunity to sit down to a lunch of freshly caught and locally sourced fish before making your way back to the south.
